Tarese’s Story

This is my story of vulnerability, courage and hope. My journey through a childhood of isolation, sexual and physical abuse, and the resulting eating disorder, self-harm, anxiety, depression and CPTSD.

Today, I am a fashion designer who specialises in custom evening-wear couture and bridal gowns, and I have a Masters in Counselling.

Tarese Gown

Inspiration: I designed this gown because it reflects the hope, lightness and playfulness that I now feel. Having also spent years uncomfortable in my own skin, this silhouette embraces and enhances the parts of myself that I like.

The Tarese gown features layers of soft mesh tulle, with crinoline-edged ruffles on the skirt that add a layer of lightness and playfulness. Featuring a low back with a sheer mesh button-up panel and a front V-neck sheer mesh panel. The dress is framed with hand-appliqued flowers and high quality, hand-applied crystals to add a touch of sparkle.

Proceeds of your purchase of this gown will go towards furthering Birds with a Feather and its participants.

Please note that this dress is made-to-order, meaning fabrics are ordered from suppliers once purchase is made, so please allow 8-10 weeks for fabric ordering and construction. Some customisations can be accommodated too. Please note that although this is made-to-order to your measurements, this is not a custom-fit dress, and further alterations may need to be done at your local alterations service. All bodies are different and unique, and further fitting may need to be done as required to ensure the perfect fit!
